objective of the
Resource Centre of Oral Tradition is to systematize, preserve
and publish know-how and traditional cultural practices.
Departing from the identification, recovery, and
valorisation of intangible cultural heritage, and traditions
embedded in collective memory, the Resource Centre creates conditions
to give back the community its structural identity, and
becomes an important tool, contributing to reflect and
analyse about how much today’s society think and represent
their identity and culture.
With the creation of the
Resource Centre there intends to
develop a set of actions that contribute to a better
understanding and sharing the cultural identity of cities
participating in the Oralities Project and also work in
partnership for the Resource Centre: Évora, Idanha-a-Nova and Mértola (Portugal),
Ourense (Spain), Ravenna (Italy), Birgu (Malta) e Sliven (Bulgaria).
The Resource Centre in addition to this digital platform
also has a physical space
