MECINE is a network between European medium sized cities (from 50,000 to 250,000 inhabitants). It was founded in 1994 as a forum for exchanging experiences.
MECINE has 9 members:

·Roskilde (Denmark)
·Speyer (Germany)
·Tönsberg (Norway)
.Delft (Netherlands)
.Chartres (France)
The cities of
Gniezno (Poland) and Cáceres (Spain)
are observers to the network.
The city that presently holds the leadership for
2010/2011 is SPEYER (Germany).
